Test · the real message · kept one hour
Email delivery test
Get a test address, send it an ordinary message from the server or application you are checking, and see within seconds what the receiving server sees: authentication, the address it came from, blacklists and TLS.
How it works
Create a test address: it is unique,
test-…@test.exim.ro, and valid for one hour.Send a message to it from the system you are checking, exactly as you usually send.
Within seconds you see what our server saw: authentication, the sender's address, blacklists, TLS.
The test in brief
- What we check
SPF for the envelope address (RFC 7208), the DKIM signatures (RFC 6376, RFC 8463) and DMARC for the From domain (RFC 7489), with our own evaluation, not another server's.
- The sending server
We take the IP address from the Received field our server added, the only trustworthy one. We check its reverse DNS and the active blacklists, and whether the message arrived encrypted.
- What the test does not tell
Every recipient has its own filters, and reputation builds over time; the test shows what can be checked technically. DMARC's organizational domain is approximated without the public suffix list.
- What happens to the message
It is deleted from the mailbox as soon as it is read. The report stays in memory only, for one hour, then it is gone; it does not appear in logs. At most 10 tests an hour from one address.
