When you use a tool
The domain, IP address or headers you send are processed to produce the result, then forgotten. They are not written to a database or to our logs. The exception is monitoring, which you sign up for explicitly (below).
For each run we keep only which tool ran, when, and how long it took. That record contains nothing about you or what you checked.
Rate limiting
To keep the tools available, the number of checks from one network is limited. For that, the IP address is held in memory for a few minutes and is not written to disk by the application, with one exception: when you sign up for and confirm the monitoring of a domain (below).
exim.ro Send waiting list
If you join the waiting list, we keep your e-mail address, your name if you give it, the language and page you signed up from, and the date. We use them only to tell you, once, when the service opens. That message will carry a link to unsubscribe; to have the address deleted, write to us from it.
Domain monitoring
If you start monitoring, we keep your e-mail address, language, the domains followed (and the DKIM selector, if you give one), their last state (the problems found at the last check) and the IP address you signed up and confirmed from, with the times.
We use them only to check the domains once a day and write to you when something changes. We keep the IP address as proof of the sign-up and the confirmation. We give the e-mail address and the IP to no one; the domains go, as with the tools, only into DNS queries, to the active blacklists and to the MX servers checked. The basis is the consent given at sign-up, which you withdraw by unsubscribing.
The data stays until you unsubscribe, from the link in any message or from your page: we then delete all of it at once. An unconfirmed sign-up deletes itself when the confirmation link expires.
Visit statistics
To know which pages are read, each page sends exim.ro, once loaded, the page's address (without what you checked), the name of the site you came from and a screen width class (mobile, tablet, desktop). Only daily totals are kept. No cookies are used and nothing is sent to third parties.
For the number of different visitors per day, the IP address and User-Agent go through a hash with a random value that changes every day. The hash stays only in the service's memory and is dropped at midnight; only the number reaches the database.
Cookies and trackers
The site sets no cookies for visitors and loads nothing from other servers: no third-party analytics, no fonts, no advertising. The only cookie is the administrator's session cookie, on the admin page.
